Tic Toc Games, the studio behind the lovely 1-8-16-bit platformer Adventures of Pip has recently announced that it’s in the final phases of it’s PS4 and Xbox One versions. On a KickStarter update from July 17th, they announced:
“We are happy to announce that we have officially submitted Adventures of Pip for First Final submission testing on both PS4 and XB1.
This has taken longer than expected — both platform requires a certain amount of features to be supported on the backend to get the game working with their services. This include features such as trophies or achievements, stat tracking, multiple profile support — and more! The game is now in Sony and Microsoft’s hands to do their official testing and give their ‘OK’ on the game once completed! “
I was first able to check this game out earlier this year at PAX East, and I was pleasantly surprised at how adorable the game is, and also how serious it is as a platformer. The game shifts even more so as it spans across 1-bit, 8-bit, and 16-bit style gameplay, a unique experience which I’m sure you’ll enjoy.
Keep your eyes peeled on the KickStarter page for more updates, and be sure to pick up Adventures of Pip once it launches on console. It’s already available on iOS and Steam for $14.99 if you just can’t wait for the console releases.
