We finally have real images of the PS5 and it’s awesome. While it looks like a spacehip or a wireless router, I think it’s exciting and unique. Your mileage may vary. Screencaps were taken from the PS5 reveal that happened earlier today. Sorry for the not great quality, but I wanted to give you all an idea of what we’re going to have come Holiday 2020.

Other news, we’ll have two flavors available as well. Standard PS5 with an optical drive, and a “Digital Edition” that is slightly slimmer, but no optical drive. No info on pricing yet, but that’s at least a sign that there may be a slightly less expensive model coming for those who’ve been weary of that un-confirmed $549 price tag. That could also easily be the digital only price tag, and maybe $549 only gets you the digital version. Too much speculation though, we’re going to have to wait and see.

Finally, the “family” photo. PS5 DualSense (not DualShock anymore), PS5 (optical), PS5 Digital, Headset, Remote, Controller/Charger/Stand, and a Camera. Likely accessories that’ll hopefully be available in other colors. While I love the white design on the PS5 itself, I feel like my gross dorito covered hands will turn that pearly white controller into a dirty off-white after a few weeks.
Also other things noted: front of the PS5 has a USB-C and a standard USB port, which will help with compatibility on prior gen devices/headsets, etc. We know the DualSense will be USB-C charged, like the Nintendo Switch Pro controller is.
Really cool stuff. Hope you’re all as excited to get more information as I am!
