Well, turns out it’s been 20 years since we started catching our first Pokémon (20yrs since Pokémon Red/Green released in Japan). That’s a weird thought that before I was 10 years old I was playing Pokémon Red on my (then) matching Red original Game Boy. While I personally have lost track with all of the more recent Pokémon games, more because I didn’t keep up with the DS consoles, I’ve always enjoyed the nostalgia of seeing new Pokémon games release.
The announcement of Pokémon Sun and Moon came during the 20th Anniversary of Pokémon, and if you want to watch the video visit Pokémon’s official Page here. The only timeframe for release is “Holiday 2016” which is great because it means we should see them this year. I much prefer game announcements with release dates that are within a 12 month time frame because otherwise it seems super dragged out waiting for release.
I’m sure we will see more information on this in months to come, but for all you Pokémon fans out there who’ve been hoping for the next installation in the series, here you go.
