New Days of Play 2018 PS4 Design

If you’re in the market for a new PS4, you may be in luck. Playstation has recently announced a new “Days of Play 2018” event happening June 8th through the 16th, in which a new PS4 Slim design was released. It’s a really awesome looking “PlayStation” blue console emblazoned with the PSN symbols in a vibrant gold. It also includes a matching DualShock 4 controller with gold symbols on the touchpad to match the console itself. It’s a 1TB unit so if you’re still rocking a 500GB original you’ll get a bump in storage and it comes at an MSRP of $299. It’s available for pre-order currently.

It’s a really awesome looking console (keep in mind that vertical stand is NOT included) and as someone who particularly loves the color blue, that console/controller combo is pretty fire. Hopefully they’ll sell the controller separately but at the moment I have not seen it at any online retailers or big box shops. It looks like for the time being DualShock 4 controllers have either received a discount or price reduction, as they are listed on the Sony site at an MSRP of $39.99, about twenty dollars less than the normal retail price.

It’s a great opportunity to either upgrade you older PS4 with a sweet new design, get yourself a bigger hard drive, or perhaps if you at least need some newer controllers snag some at a good price. There are also PSVR bundles and an ongoing PlayStation Store sale as well, so might be worth checking it out if you’re looking for new games to add to the collection. The Days of Play promotion seems to be going until June 18th and that players should be checking the PSN Store “for 11 days of EPIC deals.” Hopefully we see some awesome deals and everyone gets to add stuff to their backlogs. I know that’s what I’ll be doing.
